Skin tightening devices compared

This list covers the top of the Ypsilanti-area order: the five providers holding the top places. Skin tightening runs on energy devices, and the ranking below does not tell you which clinic owns which device. Read the sources first, starting with a review of skin-tightening energy technologies and a hospital-system page on radio frequency skin tightening, benefits and dangers.

What the ranking measures

Order here follows Non-surgical treatments offered, counted from each provider's own published services page, longest list first. CosMedic LaserMD leads with 40 listed on cosmediclasermd.com, and the order runs down from there.

An ultrasound handpiece and a bottle of gel on a folded towel in a treatment room.

A longer menu means more listed treatments. It says nothing about device quality, operator skill or safety record.

Reading the top of the order cautiously

This site's rule marks all five as expert tasks: skin tightening is booked with a professional, not tried at home.

  1. CosMedic LaserMD: expert task.
  2. Cosmetic Skin & Laser Center: expert task.
  3. Radiance Beauty Lab: expert task.
  4. Ann Arbor Plastic Surgery: expert task.
  5. Med 1 Aesthetics: expert task.

A note on each entry

CosMedic LaserMD lists 40 non-surgical treatments on cosmediclasermd.com and shows a 4.9 rating across 165 reviews. The long menu earns it the top spot on this ranking. It does not excuse the questions at the end of this page.

Cosmetic Skin & Laser Center lists 38 non-surgical treatments on cslcbeauty.com, with a 4.7 rating across 196 reviews. That is the lowest rating among the five, on a large review base, so read the detail and not just the score.

In third place, Radiance Beauty Lab lists 25 non-surgical treatments on www.radiancebeautylab.com. Google Maps shows a 5.0 rating across 80 reviews, the smallest review base of the five.

Ann Arbor Plastic Surgery and Med 1 Aesthetics list the same count of non-surgical treatments, 24 each, on www.annarborplasticsurgery.com and med1aesthetics.com. Ann Arbor Plastic Surgery has a 4.8 rating across 467 reviews. Med 1 Aesthetics has a 4.9 rating across 378 reviews.

Where to go from here

The top two entries have the longest menus, and the last three are close to each other. Still, no count here shows which skin-tightening devices a clinic owns.

Check Ann Arbor Plastic Surgery hardest. Google Maps files it as a plastic surgery clinic, the only entry here sitting next to surgery, so ask exactly where its non-surgical work stops. ASPS publishes what to know about thread lifts, which shows why the question matters, and a separate page on ways to treat a turkey neck lays out the wider menu of options. Then call the clinic and ask which devices it uses, who operates them, and what training that person has.
